# Island & Remote Area Surcharge

Some delivery destinations require additional routing, handling, or transit time due to their geographic location — typically islands, archipelagos, or isolated coastal areas. When a shipment is addressed to one of these zones, a surcharge is automatically applied to cover the extra logistics cost.
